hanover rover mofire style

mofire festival celebrated its 10th jubilee with a great drum & bass friday featuring adam f, camo & krooked, erbndub alongside navigator mc and the ragga twins. also reggae played a big part on sandy outdoors with spicy kenyan food and jamaican accessoires, got a fisherhat and an eagle stone chain.
after a 7 quid 100k hitchhike i touched down at the former outdoor swimming pool (“freibad”) in the suburb of herrenhausen with 17th century royal parks. just in time for the england v algeria match though the warmup smoking was much more thrilling than the game. the world cup hasnt kicked me off my chairs yet tbh. some 20:30 games have action the rest is like waiting for the bbq to simmer and sort all drinks out.
although i wanted to taste all the sound flavours it dragged to the ballroom where drum & bass started shyly after 10pm with local crews mixing on half volume level. then mcs benski and mex-e entered the stage and lifted the vibe for real. especially mex-e was in top form like a mexican world cup supporter, top class lyrics, top voice. i like to see and hear them both at raves in bremen, braunschweig or here. longside stunnah this is the german mc trio to me – or the north german triangle, cling!
soon camo & krooked took the stage and showed some alpes double again. at jungle mania in bremen they sounded too neuro to me but this time they rinsed better and that tonight track came out crisp and clear to cheer you up like john b’s up all night back in the days.
